Coach Daniel Sagno
Daniel's love for soccer, coupled with extensive playing and coaching experience, takes centre stage. Fresh off a dynamic season as the top goal scorer for Glenorchy Knights FC in Australia's pro league, "I'm not just passionate about playing this beautiful game—I'm equally enthralled by coaching."
Daniel's soccer journey kickstarted in Winnipeg at River Heights youth soccer club at 6 years old and quickly took him to the Whitecaps MLS Residency at 12 years old - earning call-ups to the Canadian National Team at the U15, U17, U18 & U20 levels. He earned a scholarship to NCAA D1, San Diego State University and transferred to TRU in 2019. In 2022, he proudly secured the USports National Title with the WolfPack, capping off his collegiate career on a high note.
Beyond the playing field, Daniel's joy in coaching high-level youth players matches his love for the game itself. As much as he lives for playing and scoring goals, he strongly feels a unique satisfaction in passing on knowledge and fostering a winning mindset among aspiring athletes. Daniel's coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in enjoyment and growth, creating an environment where players thrive both on and off the field.
